D-Train

did anyone check out espn2 last night around 7 est? you got a treat if you did and you like baseball. the future outdueled the past as dontrelle willis of the florida marlins went 7 innings, striking out 8 and giving up one earned run to beat randy johnson, willis' idol, who gave up no earned runs but lost because of a 2 run error. not only was it a great pitcher's duel, the game mattered too since it was between the 2nd and 3rd place teams in the nl wild card hunt. i havent seen a regular season game that good since i saw pedro martinez beat bartolo colon of the indians at fenway in 2-1 game when i was in high school, the difference being that i saw last night's game on tv, whereas i was at fenway for the pedro game.

Willis/Johnson was a good game. Especially since Willis did the honors for my fantasy team. I obviously was not at Fenway, but I remeber seeing that Pedro/Colon game too.

I'm sorry this is my first visit to your blog since you've looked at mine so many times now. I've gotten really bad about not seeing other blogs. I'll try to do better.

he did the same for me. i think willis has been the pickup of the year so far in my league.

He's been good for me too, but another guy in the league dropped Mulder after he had bad outings in his first three starts. I picked him up and haven't been disappointed. Vernon Wells went undrafted too, so the guy that got him is real happy.

why are you "the booth"? i know youve got sisters, isnt there some contention over that title?

I plead no contest.

I've only ever had one person who consistently called me "booth" (it's just not fitting for me) and while Rachel (our other sister) used to be called "booth" regularly, she contented herself with being called "little booth."

My college friends called me "the booth" to distinguish me from another Aaron in the group. Plus, it's usually not appropriate to call girls by their last name only.

I'm a huge fan of calling women by their last names only. Decreases sexual tension. Humbles them a bit. Good for everyone.

And off I fly, striking blows for feminism wherever I roam.
