i found out muscle shoals is for sale on ebay. does anyone wanna go in on a bid with me and start a record company? i know chris marr is down. i mean bob dylan recorded there, among others. we gotta save this place!

You don't even have to have a studio to have a label. I know a guy who puts out his own albums on his own label. His producer, who is in Canary and was in Luxury (fairly famous Christian indie band) is part of an indie label called Cut & Paste Collective and it just started because several bands weren't satisfied with any of the labels they'd dealt with.

They live in Toccoa, Georgia, actually. Michial is just putting out his own records for now, and I don't know what's up with Jamey from Canary. If you email Michial (michial@theshotsofperspective.com) he'd talk to you about label stuff, at least some advice on getting started or whatever.
