i havent blogged in a while. the primary reason for this is i dont have much to write about. but since i last blogged, i saw the strokes with the kings of leon in atlanta at the tabernacle, the greatest venue on earth. the show was good. the opening act, regina something was even enjoyable, which is rare. i stayed the night in atl with jeremy elliott, and on the next night, i saw the yeah yeah yeahs with mary higgins at the echo lounge. they were simply awesome. the lead singer, karen o puts on a wonderful show. so is she a wonderful showwoman? the appropriate term escapes me. i ended up staying in atl for two more days with jeremy and we had fun catching up and hanging out around his house with his high school age siblings. then this past weekend was preview weekend here at the campus so i was gone as much as possible. tonight, i discovered a new band, ladybug transistor, a merge label band. it was cool to see an indie show in chatty, especially since it was $5 and at lamar's, both of which made it especially great. also, the band was asking trivia questions of the crowd and throwing candy to those who gave correct answers. it was unique and fun. so that's that.
