the 15 hour drive

Well, I leave for school in about an hour. Thanks Covenant for only giving me 2 1/2 weeks with my family! (note the sarcasm) I'll see you guys on the east coast around 2-3 a.m. Marr better have the beer he promised me.

sarcasm sucks.
the vast majority of folks in the working world would be praising the skies for 2.5 weeks off for the holidays.

As someone firmly planted in the working world (I only got four days off for the holidays, and had to drive 10 hours on Christmas Eve) I think DP should be allowed to complain about whatever he wants, without anybody telling him he's too whiny. Less than three weeks holiday break from school is unreasonable. Most of the students at Covenant will have to work miserable hours soon enough. No point in starting them early.

And sarcasm does not suck. Cynicism sucks, certainly, but sarcasm is merely a rhetorical device, and has nothing to do with the condition of the human heart.

preach it, mesh. the fact is, i am not in the working world. i am in the academic world where everyone else got the week off before Christmas and gets two more after this one as well. and anyone who knows me, knows that i use sarcasm as simply a rhetorical device, as mesh noted. but thanks, anyway, DAD.

I had a grand total of two days at home before having to move back up. Granted my circumstances were slightly different, but still...Christmas break should never be less than three weeks.
